Knitting

Garter Stitch : knit every row

Stocking Stitch : knit 1 row, purl 1 row

Reverse Stocking Stitch : purl 1 row, knit 1 row





In The Round Knitting

Stocking Stitch : knit every round

Casting on Mid Row

Turn work so yarn is now on the left needle.

Put the right needle tip between the first two stitches on the left needle as if you are doing a knit stitch.

Wrap the yarn around the right needle tip, again as if to knit, and pull the yarn to the front.

Transfer this stitch back to the left needle.

Repeat with the new knit stitch now between the new stitch and the one to its left, continue until you have as many cast on stitches as required.

Turn knitting back so yarn is on right needle.
